The Mind of Lawrence

Normally on my Facebook page I will share alot of news related material so I can go back and read them later. I find that sharing news and photos is important and useful. If I happen to lose an article that I couldn't find, I can find it in my shared list. I mostly like to share news on celebrities or world news. I find that it's like a daily paper for me that I fan access easily.

One of my favorite features about Instagram is how you can like pages that feature content that you want to see. For example, you can search for pages like sports, and if you follow that page, you will see photos and news related posts on sports. I like to follow art and videogame pages. Another feature I think is really cool is how you can filter your photos. It reminds me of studio professions and how you can touch up and edit photos on the go.

I came across FaceBook Live when it came about a couple years ago. I think that the feature is very interesting and unique. To be able to go live wherever you want and share to your group of friends or family what you are doing is pretty awesome. Although I have yet to use the feature, I think one day I might. An especially important time when I access live events is if it is news related or celebrities sharing their live feed. I think it's one of Facebook's best features so far.

I found it really intriguing to be able to share pictures and video with others based on a mode called "My Story" this can be accessed by Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. You can go live as well. Any video or photo you want to share to the majority of your friends, you can do so by adding photos or pictures to your story. I found the feature to be easy to use and fun to see what others share.

I think when it comes to blogging, it's a platform for my thoughts and my opinions on the social media platform. So far, I do like blogging. It almost reminds me of an electronic diary.

I think when it comes to Twitter and Facebook, both are very different and generate a wide variety of audiences and feedback. Twitter is very news oriented and Facebook is more community and event orientated. When it comes to the types of people on Twitter vs. Facebool, I think people on Twitter are less forgiving and tend to attack people without question. Facebook is the same, but there is a slight difference in both sides expressing their views.

I'm a 25 year old Junior at UofL currently and have almost completed all of my required courses for my degree. I am majoring in Communications of Arts and have an Associates in Arts. My goals in life are to travel worldwide and explore new places. I also want to be involved with radio and broadcasting. That would be a dream for me. I am currently looking at internships right now and hope I can get my foot in the door. Some hobbies I enjoy are drawing, swimming, playing videogames and hanging out with friends. I enjoy being outdoors when the weather is nice and taking walks to destress myself.

When it comes to social media, there is a wide variety of ways in which I use it. I use Instagram to post pictures of myself or things that I like. I use FaceBook mainly to post my thoughts and/or my rants and opinions. I use FaceBook the most because I enjoy the layout and I can reach more people. I also enjoy that all of the news I need is in one place and I dont have to go searching. It's very useful and convenient for me. I also use Twitter for news as well if I want to check in on celebrities. In a way, social media is my morning and afternoon coffee. It keeps me up to date and aware of what's going on around me.
